| Welcome to Key
Stage 2 (Year groups 5 & 6) |
| When we told the children that St
Margaret's would be having a web site, the children were very
keen to share their thoughts about their school. Please
take time to read what the children have to say - we hope you
get a good impartial feel about what our school is like. |

| What year
6 pupils have to say about their school |
I now realise that you can do anything
if you put your mind to it. I never thought I could
do anything before I came to this school. I have
been chosen for the cross-country team and went to the final.
Harriet |
I think our school is wicked because
it gets really good SATs
results and the teachers teach us
well all the time.
Ryan |
Our teachers are really nice and funny,
especially when your SATs are coming up, there is no pressure. The
helpers are really friendly and if you're ever upset, the teachers
are always there.
Elizabeth |
I like St. Margaret's because it has
really kind children that help you out when you are sad or
injured. The teachers are also really funny and
have a good sense of humor. We also go on really
fun trips like the Black
Country Museum when we went down the mines, we also have
sports days, which are really fun when we to the obstacle courses.
Hannah |
I like playtime because I get to hang
around with my friends. But the boys mainly play
football. Well the friends I have are cool, kind
and awesome.
Kimberly |
The school also does a variety of
trips in each year. Each trip is educational and
enjoyable so that your children will enjoy the trips as well
as learn from them.
Heerun |
My favorite subject is art and design
and technology because there you can make creative things such
as hats, slippers, vehicles, torches and many more. We
do R.E and learn new things every day! I love this
school! It's fab!!!
Devina |
We have a football team for years
5+6 and year 3+4, but the main one is 5+6. Our football
team has won games and other times we have lost.
Philip |
St Margaret's is the best school because
we have tons of laughter there.

| What
year 5 pupils have to say about their school |
Nearly every Monday, we have Congratulations
Assembly, so everybody gets a good mention. We have
this thing called pupil of the week.
Kate |
We do all subjects. I love
Maths, Art, Science and Geography. We used to do
Gaelic Football. I used to be rubbish at foot passing,
but I've got a bit better at it now.
Shivani |
St Margaret's School has a variety
of different subjects. ICT is my personal favorite. We
just had an ICT suite and we go down every Thursday with Mrs.
Cooper. Occasionally, Mr. Fowler takes us down to
do a science game on this cool web site. Also, we
recently had a new boy's toilets put in and it's way better
than the old grotty one.
Gregg |
St. Margaret's School is really because
the teachers are very friendly and helpful at break times if
you are hurt they help you straight away. In lessons,
they don't just leave you do your work they explain it very
well.
Leah |
The canteen is separate from the school,
unlike other schools, their canteens are in the school hall.
On the Smart Boards, we play games in our spare time. Also,
if we have a wet break time, we can get board games out and
colour.
Raine |
Our first and last break times are
both 15 minutes and our dinner is 1 hour. Our break times are
really fun because we have football pitches that are all quite
big. We have a junior and infant playground and at dinnertimes,
we have equipment.
Christopher |
One of the best things in this school
is homework on the Internet. Cool or what?!?! It’s only
for year 5 & year 6 – TOTALLY COOL!!!
Isabella |
There are loads of after school activities.
Football, netball, cricket, basketball, Gaelic football, cross-country
and the Kids club. Also, from 6.00 and onwards there is Rainbows,
Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts.
Chloe |
One of the topics we did in art was
to make and paint a pot of our own choice. It was really, really
fun and I think if was probably the most exciting topic we’ve
ever done in art! Also, lately we’ve been writing fables
of our own. It was a bit tricky, but it was fun.

Saint Margaret’s School is great!
The teachers are nice and you learn new things. I have learnt
all about the Greek
Gods, Romans and Celts, about the Victorians and lots more. You learn about the earth, the sun and the moon.
Also you learn about the great city of London. Our school has
two great playgrounds both with play equipment. In 2005 the
children in Year 6 got 100% in their Sats results! The school
is also very welcoming.
Jessica |
I like the people at St Margaret’s
School, they are all friendly and nice. A new girl has just
joined and she has got a lot of friends straight away.
